How do you properly unleash the power of the Scalp Scrub?
Think of it like prepping for a luxurious spa day!
- Soak it up: Get your hair fully saturated with water. We mean soaking wet
- Section & Apply: Roughly section your hair and apply the scrub directly from the bottom right onto your scalp
- Massage: Gently massage the scrub until you feel those tiny beads dissolving into pure goodness
- Rinse, Rinse, Rinse! This is the crucial part. You MUST rinse thoroughly until the water runs completely clear before you apply shampoo
- Friendly Head’s up: This amazing product is focused on exfoliation and won’t lather up like a traditional shampoo.

I have a Marine allergy. Should I be worried?
No need to panic. Our Marine Collagen is actually a vegan wonder extracted from seaweed (not fish or shellfish), however if you’re super sensitive, we always recommend a quick patch test, just to be on the safe side.
Why did my conditioner come out looking a little… green?
The case of the temporary green glow. This was a fun moment where a slightly yellow batch of our natural Calendula Flower Extract met with Spirulina. When they first combine, they create a temporary green tint. Don’t worry, it’s just a phase! The colour will naturally and gradually diminish as the spirulina fades, and the product will eventually turn white. It’s just proof our natural ingredients are doing their thing.
Where does Marine Collagen actually come from?
It’s a cruelty free, vegan friendly alternative derived sustainably from seaweed. We get the ocean benefits without harming marine life.
I have a fish/seafood allergy, is this safe?
The good news is YES; you should be fine. Since our range is vegan and the Marine Collagen comes from seaweed (not seafood or fish), it shouldn’t be a concern. A patch test is still recommended for total peace of mind.
Why am I feeling a little tingle, sting, or itch?
While our ingredients are reviewed to be gentle, a small group (less that 5%) with very delicate skin might notice a mild, temporary tingle or redness. This is often due to our natural preservatives (Potassium Sorbate and Sodium Benzoate) or the powerful gentle exfoliant (Salicylic Acid) working their magic.
Quick check: We do use a little Sodium Chloride (salt). If you have any scratches, cuts or abrasions on your scalp, this can cause a temporary stinging sensation. Always check your scalp before you scrub.
What’s that lovely scent made of?
It’s a gorgeous blend. The fragrance is synthetic (for stability) but includes a lovely 2% of pure essential oils for that extra aromatic touch.
Do I have to use the Scalp Scrub every wash?
Nope, that’s up to you. The Marine Beauty Scalp Scrub is a treatment, not a daily driver. You can absolutely just use the shampoo and conditioner for your regular washes.
How often should I use the Scalp Scrub?
We recommend using it a detox treatment every second or third wash or whenever you feel like your scalp needs a fresh and deep clean.
Wait, can this stuff cause pimples on my scalp?
Here’s what we know, when you start cleaning and exfoliating your skin (like your face) to remove built up gunk, it’s common to have an isolated breakout afterwards as everything purges. The same can sometimes happen when you first start exfoliating your scalp. This is usually temporary as your scalp adjusts to being super clean.
My Shampoo isn’t foaming up like it used to… what’s that about?
That’s the ‘free of nasties’ life! Since the Marine Range is free of those harsh detergents that create huge foam mountains, you’ll notice it lathers less.
Pro tip: This is common. On the first shampoo, it cleanses. By the second shampoo, you will find you’ll get a lot more of a satisfying lather.
